The founder

From the first line of code to leading a company.

For Jack, building software is not about adding more tools. It is about finding where an organisation loses energy and turning that point into a clearer process.

His path runs from ERP development and software leadership at The Irish Times to engineering systems at global scale for Amazon, Meta and AWS. He has built solutions serving more than 400,000 users and firmware automation spanning over 10 million data-centre devices. An MSc in Computer Science and International Business completes a perspective in which technology, organisation and growth remain inseparable.

“Your business is unique, and your software should be too.”

His work, in one line

A way of leading

Technical depth, without the distance.

Technical leadership becomes useful when it makes decisions understandable and gives the team room to do its best work.

01

Listen to the system

People, ownership, exceptions and goals come before technology. That is where the real problem to solve can be found.

02

Design for the long term

Sound architecture, legible choices and integrations built to evolve, without turning every change into another constraint.

03

Stay accountable

Launch is not the finish line. We measure what works, fix what needs attention and support the system over time.

Beyond the role

One technical direction. A team effort.

Jack sets the direction, but every outcome comes from different disciplines thinking together. At Nebulas, product, engineering, cloud and client partnership work on the same problem with the same sense of ownership.

Shared vision

Goals and constraints are visible to everyone, keeping technical choices close to the project’s priorities.

Direct dialogue

Very little distance separates the people who decide, build and use the software. Answers come from those involved.

Continuous growth

Every project becomes shared knowledge: of an industry, its processes and the tools that can improve them.

The trajectory

From ERP to global systems, without losing sight of the real problem.

  1. Foundations

    Engineering from the ground up

From ERP development to distributed systems: code, databases and infrastructure treated as parts of one problem.

  2. Global scale

    Amazon, Meta and AWS

Software for more than 400,000 users and firmware lifecycle automation across over 10 million data-centre devices.

  3. Since 2010

    Founder & CTO

Leading BETA Technologies and Nebulas by bringing together leadership, architecture and bespoke automation for growing businesses.

Let’s talk

A good project starts with a concrete conversation.
